A record broken and the records that are coming up

Olympiacos' game against Lavrio for the 12th day of the Bakset League has a special significance because it was the 180th for Giorgos Bartzokas leading the 'red & whites', thus surpassing Giannis Ioannidis in the list of Olympiacos' coaches with most games from the establishment of the professional league in the 1992-93 season.

The Greek coach who also holds the record for most wins during the same time, has been going after is expected to win two more first places that will place him at the top in the history of the basketball team!

Giorgos Bartzokas only needs six more wins to become the top winning coach in the history of Olympiacos for all the years the team has been playing in the first category. When this happens, he will again surpass the late Giannis Ioannidis, who has a record 168 winning games. 

The second record the three-times best Euroleague coach is after, is the one with most games leading the bench in the Club's history. Right now, he's in third place, behind Faidon Mathaiou, who had 204 games as the head coach of Olympiacos in nine seasons and Giannis Ioannidis who had 208 games in six seasons.
