The schedule of the pre-season games

The putting together of Olympiacos is starting, since during the upcoming period, Giorgos Bartzokas and his players are going to be building the foundations for the new season.

The double Greek crown winners are getting ready for pre-season with Luke Sikma being the first one to land at the E. Venizelos airport and the rest of the players arriving in the following days. The Piraeus’ team players are going to undergo the usual ergometric tests and physicals and then they are getting to step on the court.

The first pre-season game is scheduled for Sunday, September 3, at the Peace and Friendship Stadium (no spectators) against Lavrio.

 Giorgos Bartzokas is not going to have the internationals available at the beginning of the pre-season, since they are going to be participating the FIBA Mundobasket. Kostas Papanikolaou, Giannoulis Larentzakis, Michalis Lountzis, Thomas Walkup (Greek National Team), Moustapha Fall (France) and Nikola Milutinov (Serbia) will be incorporated at later dates, depending on when they get back from the Mundobasket. The same goes for two members of the staff, Stefanos Triantafyllos (associate of Giorgos Bartzokas) and Vangelis Mpenatos (physiotherapist).

Panagiotis Tsamis, Sotiris Ekonomopoulos, Benjamin Abosi, Anastasis Rozakeas, Efstratios Papastavrou and Stefanos Spartalis will also be participating the ‘red & whites’ pre-season.
