Papanikolaou: «We are determined to win»
They did it last year (break on the break) and they aspire to doing it this year as well! Olympiacos will be playing against Fenerbahce tomorrow (03/05, 19:45 CET) for the 3rd game of the Euroleague playoffs aiming to regain home court advantage.
"I had said even after the first game we on, that the series is long, that it wasn't going to be something easy", the captain, Kostas Papanikolaou, stressed and continued: "I has also said though, that the deeper the games move ahead, there are not many things tactically wise that you can change from one game to another when two teams have faced off so many times within one season. We have been in this place before and we are all prepared and determined to go and win".
And he went on to say: "It would be a mistake to change our basic approach when the season has been so good for us. The proper thing is to believe in all those things that have brought us here. There are certainly some parts of the game we have worked on, on some mistakes and some parts of the tactic we approached differently compared to the two last games. For the most part though, it would not be wise for the team to change its identity over a lost game. We have lost other games during the season and this exact identity is what brought us where we are today".
