Bartzokas: «Support us in the game with Baskonia»

Olympiacos finished in first place of the Basket League’s regular season and wants to do the same with the Euroleague. For that reason, the ‘red & whties’ coach, Giorgos Bartzokas, summoned the fans of his team on Thursday’s game.

“Today we finished a season when we did not lose a game. Regardless if some consider this as a given, I, who appreciate the Greek League that has significantly improved, this is something noteworthy. Congratulations to our players. Even in today’s game, AEK showed to have great quality, from the way they execute in offense, they have speed and good facilitation. They are a team with depth, they have quality and good directing from the bench. Every win over AEK is not considered a given, just like nothing is considered a given for us. Right now, we have completed the regular season of the Greek League, and we have one more game on Thursday to finish the regular season of the Euroleague. If we do win, we are going to finish in first place there as well. I think of that game as very important and I would like to invite our fans to come to the arena, those who will not be away for Greek Easter. I summon them to come and support the team. Whether we are going to be first of second maybe of not great importance, however, for a Greek team finishing in first place with the Euroleague for the first time in the history of the competition is a very important achievement and we have to go after it till the end.
