Sfairopoulos: «A battle for 40 minutes»
Olympiacos is hosted by Fenerbahce/Ulker on Friday (16/1, 19:00 CET) for the 3rd round of the Euroleague TOP-16. Giannis Sfairopoulos and Dimitris Katsivelis talked about the game against the Turkish team just before the team's departure to Istanbul.
GIANNIS SFAIROPOULOS: "First of all, I have to say that this is a very important game for both teams. Fenerbahce is a very good team, with a very good coach, I think they are the favorite to win the game since they play in their home court, in front of their audience. We have to remain focused, do what we have planned to do and fight for 40 minutes. I hope we play a good game up to our potential. Of course, Fener has quality and many of its players can create problems, it's not only 2-3 that stand out. We are confident in our skills, our team and our roster and I think we have the quality to cope".
On his part, Dimitris Katsivelis said that: "Fenerbahce is a very good team and I think they are the favorite for this game. We focus on one game at a time and at the end we'll see what we'll have accomplished with the TOP-16. Of course, since they have lost in their home court may put extra pressure on them, but it can also provide extra motivation as well. However, we don't care what they are doing, we only focus on us. They play well together as a team, but I think that if we are serious in our game, we can win. Goudelock is their top scorer but he's not the only player we need to be focusing on".
