Against Kavala for the semifinals
The draw for the Greek Cup 2012 – 13 semifinals was held at the Hellenic Federation Offices. Olympiacos will be facing Kavala for the said games.
The ‘reds’ will be playing against Kavala on the road on December 22, 2012 while Panathinaikos will be playing against KAOD for the second semifinal.
Immediately following the draw, the General Director of Olympiacos BC Christos Stavropoulos, who represented the team, stated: “Nothing is for certain in life. We play a semifinal in less than two months against Kavala, it’s not an easy game and I believe we are going to have to be very careful and serious about it. We first have to deal with this game and then talk about the final” Mr. Stavropoulos commented and added: “We ultimately all of us involved in this have to sit down and find a way for this final to be held in a gym filled with fans and not face what we have been facing in the last couple of years. We have all the time we need until February that the final in scheduled to be played to change that image. We need to find a way, and I think we can do that, to finally have fans watching this game”.
