Bartzokas: «Opponents with a tradition in basketball»

The Olympiacos coach, Giorgos Bartzokas, commented on our team’s rivals for the upcoming 2014-15 Regular season of the Euroleague.

For the Regular Season, the “reds” will be facing Valencia, Laboral Kutxa, Galatasaray, Red Star and Neptunas and the Greek coach explains why his team needs to be extra careful.

“To be able to thoroughly comment on our group we have to wait until everyone completes their rosters. We are in a group together with teams that bear long basketball traditions like Valencia and Laboral, Galatasaray and Red Star have been putting in a great effort during the past years and they are among those teams that no one wants to play against and Neptunas comes from a basketball loving country that always presents competitive teams.

Nevertheless, last season taught us that it means nothing to win all the games and remain undefeated during the regular season. What matters though is to show your best self at the TOP-16 and afterwards.

We’ll take it step by step and our initial goal is to qualify for the TOP-16 and become better game by game" the Greek coach said.
