Olympiacos' new signing, Saben Lee, arrived in Greece Thursday night (27/02).
"I’m very excited! I will do everything I can to help the team win. I will do whatever is asked of me," he said. When he was told that his transfer felt like a buzzer-beater, he replied: "Yes, it's true! It happened at the last moment. I didn’t expect it, but I’m happy it happened! It’s not something I had thought about before. I’m grateful to be here and excited for the opportunity I’ve been given."
He continued, mentioning that he signed until the summer of 2027: "I believe in my abilities. I came here, as I said before, to do whatever is asked of me and help the team win."
When asked if he had communicated with coach Giorgos Bartzokas, he replied: "Yes, I spoke with the coach yesterday. He asked me to be ready from the very first moment, to continue doing what I’ve been doing, and contribute to the team so it can keep winning."
Regarding the differences between Olympiacos and Maccabi, he commented: "I can't speak about that because I just arrived in Greece. I’m only taking my first steps here. But, I’m excited for what the future holds."
When asked about the derby on March 14, he said: "I’ve heard a lot about the derbies. I’ve heard they are a bit ‘wild’. I’m definitely excited to experience such an event."
When told that Olympiacos fans are eager for the Euroleague title and believe that this is the year to get it, he emphasized: "Yes, I think so. It's always a good time to win! I certainly believe we can do it this year."
Finally, he committed: "I will give my all in every game, I will be aggressive, and I will do everything I can to make sure we win every game."
