Bartzokas: «We managed the game in a way that removed the possibility of being pressured»

In the post game following the win over Karditsa, Olympiacos' coach, Giorgos Bartzokas, talked about the way the team played so as to get a win without feeling pressure, amidst a difficult schedule and said that Thomas Walkup - who dealt with a lower back problem - is extremely doubtful for the first game of the upcoming double-game week.

His initial statement was: "A pleasant Sunday afternoon for our fans, a game that we managed so as not to get in danger but also not to feel especially pressured, since we played Bayern only a day and a half before and we have two games in the upcoming week (Tuesday and Thursday in Spain) for the Euroleague. Our goal was for Evan Fournier to find rhythm and also for Kostas Papanikolaou because we will not even practice tomorrow. Congratulations to Karditsa for their season, they remain a serious and prinicipled team even despite their center getting injured".

Asked whether Thomas Walkup is going to be available to play, he replied: "We will definitely travel with us, but it's doubtful that he will play the first game. We are not sure if he plays at all, he's extremely doubtful at least for game one".
