Bartzokas: «The first quarter was a sample of good offensive game»
In the post game following the 102-72 win against Aris, Olympiacos' coach, Giorgos Bartzokas, talked about the first quarter performance of his team.
"It was the second, from a series of continuous hard games for us. Having the knowledge and the experience to play against Giannis Kastritis' team, we knew we would have to spend energy. They are a team that attacks the ball, plays hard, has a playing identity and every game here - we should remember last year's one - has been tough. Of course now Aris has European games as well, they have had a trip to Lithuania that obviously lowered their energy levels and we are at time when every practice session, every game, every injured player coming back, makes us better, but at the same time requires a re-entry process. Under that prism, the first quarter, when we dished 16 assists, only that was a sample of good offensive game, a game of collaboration and we got to beat a team that we have a lot for respect for, rather easily, giving minutes, so that we don't spend too much energy in view of the Tuesday game (15/10)".
