Bartzokas: «We must regroup»
Giorgos Bartzokas spoke of the importance of the win against Peristeri, concluding his statements with congratulating the football team on their huge European triumph.
"You are not allowed to err in the first game of the semis because the series is decided in two winning games. If you make one mistake and then you go to the opponent's home court, the situation becomes complicated. Peristeri is the third best team in Greece, with a good coach, very good roster, a good playing style and always plays on both ends of the floor with good cooperations and intensity. They give fouls on timely manner and that's a characteristic of a team that plays to win. For a first game for us right after coming back from the final four, I would say it wasn't the best team for us to play against. We would need something simpler. Having won the game is important. We must regroup, re-adjust a few facts, because Fall's absence is a serious problem. But, that's why we are here. We and the players are going to find the solutions and the time, since we hope we win on Saturday, so that we can prepare for the finals. By the way, I would like to thank the fans that came here today after pulling an all-nighter last night. Most of them slept at 5 or 6 in the morning, if at all. I would like to congratulate the football team from the bottom of my heart for this huge triumph, that fantastic night they offered to all the fans of Olympiacos".
