Bartzokas salutes the fans and his players (vid)

The coach of Olympiacos, Giorgos Bartzokas, stated that is grateful for the consistent massive support received by the 'red & whites' fans and 'saluted' his players for their effort throughout the season.

"Thank you for being so many here. Euroleague is a great league, with the top players and coaches. Tonight was the end of our European journey this season. We had to overcome too many problems. We were unlucky enough to find Real in excellent condition. A veteran roster, talented, with good coaching. We did not start the game as we had wanted to, we reacted instead of acting. We pushed things to happen, allowed Hezonja to take opens shots and hence they found confidence. They shot 9/13 threes in the first half. I don't want to say that we were scared, but we did not have the right approach for a game of that magnitude. We tried hard, on both ends of the floor, according to our principals. There were crucial shots though, contested ones by Musa, by Llull and two turnovers that did not allow us to close in more and put pressure on Real. I'm grateful for our fans, their support has been amazing. It shows to the character of our organization. All in all, our effort throughout the season has been amazing. I salute my players".
