Bartzokas: «It was a major win» (vid)

Giorgos Bartzokas talked about the atmosphere at the SEF and also about the importance of the win over Monaco.

"For yet one more time, the atmosphere was great. I'm once again grateful. A big part of this win belongs to our fans. I don't have anything to say about stats and numbers, because this was practically a playoffs game, very intense and emotional for both teams. During the game, we felt that everything was against us. They made difficult shots, they got many offensive boards, every possession was against us. But we managed to get the win and that means that we showed both character and personality. We won against Monaco, that, regardless of the loss to Maccabi, is in a very good shape. I feel that their roster plus the fact that they have the same coach of more than two years, is the reason they've been playing so well. They are led by certain players, they have players that handle the ball, they have long range shooting, they have it all. So, for us it was a huge, a very important win. I believe that Monaco is a real contender for the final four. We try to buy time. You saw players that were feeling kind of weird tonight and 'overplayed' at some points, due to their desire to help the team.  But, when you go over the top, things don't go well. It's the wrong way. We closed the 'super week' with two big wins. We began the second round with two wins and we are more positive now. Just like the Euroleague motto attests, every game matters. So, if this is the case, then these two wins are very important indeed".
