Bartzokas: «I'm grateful for the atmosphere»

Giorgos Bartzokas appeared to be impressed by the atmosphere created by the fans during the game vs Aris.

"I wish everyone a Happy and Healthy New Year. I would like to express my gratitude for the atmosphere at the SEF. It's a first for me, on a New Year's Eve afternoon, to have so many people here and such a warm atmosphere, despite Olympiacos not helping warm it with the way we played. Unfortunately, we have had just a day and a half after the game in Berlin, and we also had to travel back from Germany. We left Goss and Papanikolaou our ot the rotation, because we have a double game week coming up in the Euroleague, Walkup got hurt early in the game and we tried untested line-ups, with quintets that have never played together. But it was a good chance for us to see how certain players would be responding. Aris is always a tough team. They play the same tempo for forty minutes, they put in the effort, they forced us into 17 turnovers. Many of them were the product of our own naivete, but it is what it is. I wish all the best to Aris and to health to all of us so that we can see how far we can go".
