Turnovers and missed rebounds allowed the hosts to lead once again (27-22 at 16’). Shaquielle McKissic and Kostas Sloukas made their presence felt at that point and tied the game 34-34 at 20’.
The game remained a close one. Panathinaikos succeeded in taking a +6 lead (45-39), but Olympiacos, relying on good defense and an excellent Vezenkov, balanced the game (45-45) and the third quarter closed at +2 for the ‘reds’ (50-52).
