A 'professional' win...

Without raising the intensity, Olympiacos secured an 82-69 win over Peristeri in the 19th round of the Basket League.
Our team made a strong start against Peristeri. With focused defense and good ball movement, they went on a 11-0 run and took the lead (0-11, 3'). However, the hosts got to respond. Taking advantage of a relaxed Olympiacos' defense, they overtook with a 20-9 run (22-20). In the second quarter, a "and-one" by Alec Peters and two free throws by Mitrou-Long brought the game to a one-point difference (26-25, 12'). Sasha Vezenkov continued to lead offensively (33-31, 16'), but the lack of intensity on defense, combined with mistakes and missed three-pointers, allowed Peristeri to go up by 10 points (43-33, 18'), with the halftime score at 45-40.
The third quarter started with more defensive intensity and a 2-9 run for our team. Sasha Vezenkov hit a three-pointer to tie the game, and Evan Fournier gave Olympiacos the lead at 47-49 (23'). Peristeri, hitting from the perimeter, took the lead again (53-50, 26'), but the Piraeus team responded with a 6-0 run (56-58, 28') and ended the quarter with a 59-60 lead. At the start of the fourth quarter, Nikola Milutinov and Alec Peters extended the Olympiacos lead to +5 (59-64), with the hosts staying competitive (65-66, 34'). The team's third successful three-pointer came from Alec Peters for a +6 lead (67-73, 37'), and the American forward hit another three from the same spot shortly after (69-76), laying the foundations for the win.
The quarters: 22-20, 45-40, 59-60, 69-82.
