Only love and lots of smiles!

The One Team practice of the CENTER FOR THE SPECIAL EDUCATION OF CHILDREN WITH SPECIAL NEEDS “The Horizon” was held for the first time at the auxiliary gym of the Peace and Friendship Stadium, following a locker room tour and the amazing and happy atmosphere that transcended is hard to describe…

While the practice was underway with warm up and ball handling, two of the fan favorites appeared on the floor. Kostas Pananikolaou and Ioannis Papapetrou brought sweet exhilaration to the practicing kids! They immediately joined them, coached them and trained with them, got to talk to them, played, got photographed, laughed and the peak came when they faced off with their perspective teams and gave the kids the strongest motivation to give their best! The absolute protagonist was the touching message that a student conveyed on camera, expressing his love for Olympaicos and especially for Kostas Papanikolaou, with simple words but with a lot of emotion!

“The most important thing is that we have a good time with the kids”, Kostas Papanikolaou said. “We are experiencing happy and relaxing moments. We contribute to the society following this initiative by the Euroleague. We are very happy to be a part of all of that. It fills you with emotions each time you come to the gym and you see the kids smiling like that, having a great time when we play and learn things all together”.

On his part, Ioannis Papapetrou pointed out: “I’m definitely very happy that we get to be helping kids. We are happy because they are happy. We have a great time with them. It makes us happy seeing them smiling and having a good time. This is the most important thing of all. It doesn’t matter who wins. Just like the motto… we are ONE TEAM, we all have a good time together, we all play together and a lot more practicing is ahead!”.
